A short poetic hybrid film built around a Jamaican proverb: play with a puppy, and it will lick your mouth — let familiarity go too far, and it will lose its respect for you.
Blending documentary and poetry, LICK moves through Kingston’s streets, faces and small moments to ask what we allow, and what it costs us. It won Best Cinematography and Best Documentary at the JCDC FIWi Short Film Competition 2025.
